September 8, 2016 – Taipei, Taiwan – GlacialPower, a division of LED technology manufacturer GlacialTech Inc, is pleased to announce a new LED Driver, the GP-HS35P-48CA, with a rated power output of up to 33.6W for LED lights from 33 to 48V. This new driver offers energy saving features and a smooth output waveform with low distortion, and it closely follows EU and other directives for safety and energy efficiency. With its compact, durable design that avoids the common maintenance issues that affect competing products, GlacialPower's newest IP67 rated LED driver is ideal for interior and exterior applications, such as feature lighting. Nominal input voltage range is 100 to 277VAC, with a maximum input range of 90 to 305VAC.
The LED driver that's ready for EU energy standards
The GP-HS35P-48CA is fully compliant with the critical European directive on energy-related products (ErP) EU 1194/2012, including the most recent Stage 3 level. These European directives aim to significantly enhance the efficiency of energy-related products, particularly with regard to issues such as power factor. In keeping with these requirements, the new GP-HS35P-48CA provides a power factor of greater than 0.98 at 120VAC, more than 0.95 at 240VAC, and better than 0.9 at 277VAC at full load.
Meanwhile, under no load conditions, this driver is able to keep its power consumption below 0.5 W at 230VAC. As well as being efficient, the power output is smooth and clean, to protect LEDs and avoid other issues, with a total harmonic distortion (THD) of less than 20 percent at 277VAC.
An LED driver designed with the latest safety certification in mind
With GlacialPower's emphasis on product safety and long operating life, the company has already applied for the latest EU certifications EN61347-1:2015 and EN61347-2-13:2014 for the GP-HS35P-48CA. EU certification demonstrates compliance with European standards related mainly to safety.
Fast set up and versatile LED dimming capabilities
The GP-HS35P-48CA LED driver boasts a speedy set up time of less than half a second at 230VAC. To suit a wide range of lighting applications and LED types, multiple dimming control modes are available, including PWM Dimming, analog dimming controlled by an external voltage from 0 to 10 V DC, and resistance dimming ranging from 0 to 100 KΩ.
